These ten pedicure steps will take your feet from rugged to sublime in no time.
    1. Use cotton or gauze to remove old nail polish. We love Spa Ncesssities Nail Wipes because they don’t leave cotton strands on your nails the way cotton balls do, but any cotton ball will do – or even tissue in a pinch!
    2. Fill a footbath (or dishtub) with warm water. Add a Spa Fizz pedicure tablet to soften feet and whiten nails. Or check out our Recipe Book for home pedicure scrubs. Put your feet in the tub and relax for 5-10 minutes.
    3. Use a pumice stone or Banana Foot Lotion. but any lotion will do.
    5. Gently push back cuticles with a wood cuticle stick.
    6. File and buff nails straight across to avoid hangnails. Buff out ridges and discoloration.
    7. Dip a cotton ball in nail polish remover to remove residue from filing and buffing as well as lotion from the nail surface.
    8. Apply base coat to give a smooth surface. For a rock solid base coat and high polish top coat, try the Candy Coat.
    9. Apply two thin coats of polish. We love Essie and OPI for signature colors and lasting durability. Wait a minute between coats so that each coat has time to seal.
    10. Seal with top coat and nail art toppings, if desired. Stay still for 30 minutes so polish doesn't smudge.
